I have three FABULOUS books to give away and I have one week to give them away!

To win a copy of ‘Troy High’ by Shana Norris, ‘Prophecy of the Sisters’ by Michele Zink, and ‘The Treasure Map of Boys’ by E. Lockhart, all you have to do is:
Tell me who you hated in high school (fake names are okay), why, and if you ever acted against them because of your hatred.
I thought that was appropriate since Elena of ‘Troy High’ is a pain, two sisters are sworn enemies in ‘Prophecy’ and we’ve always got drama with Ruby in ‘The Treasure Map of Boys.’
So fess up for a chance to win these three great books! I’ll pick the winner next Monday. I’ll be reading your comments below!!

I hated this girl who was in band with me. She had a general better than you so I don’t really need to notice anyone outside of my group kind of vibe. Rich, too skinny, not necessarily popular – the attitude is what drove me nuts. She played the same instrument as me, so I challenged her for first chair. …she beat me. Nuts.

I hated (maybe not hated, but certainly disliked) the popular cheerleaders – my school was small, and popularity was everything. They got the boys, the best classes, the cool clothes – everything I didn’t have. I never really acted out on that, because thankfully, I had a great group of friends, but I always wonder what it would have been like to be one of them…
I was soooo lucky because back HS lockers were done alphabetically by last name and since my school separated girls from the boys (separate floors), I got stuck with my locker next to the head cheerleader. I mean, I was a slightly overweight theatre/music type and who did I get stuck with… the typical A-list mean girl. AND all her A-List mean girl friends hung at her locker. So…I was typically pushed into my locker, found bitchy mean notes in my locker, and was generally ridiculed by the “in group.” There’s a reason why I never went back to any HS reunions. In my freshman year, I begged my mom to transfer me but since this was a Catholic school and the tuition was already paid, we couldn’t.
Everyone has a nemesis in HS. She was mine.
Ugh.
Oh, and did I act otu against her? No, I was chosen as the female lead in the spring musical in my Sophmore year. Boys noticed me…football players even! (at least as friends)I found my own group. I didn’t retaliate, though when she and her “friends” were nominated for prom queen, we (all the nerds, geeks, gleeks) voted for a “nice girl” and the that girl ended up winning.
